FRUSTRASHOW

The office gets really busy this time of the year, so all my big drawing projects have to be shelved for a while. In the meantime, I’m drawing quick sketches for practice, some of which are character designs, which you can see below.

This was supposed to be just a rough one but I had a bit too much fun drawing that I decided on cleaning and coloring it in the end. I wanted to play Counter-Strike but I had no time to download the game and my computer doesn’t have enough space left, so I think that frustration with playing a first-person shooter materialized into this soldier girl pinup.

Here I tried to combine two things that you don’t usually put together: the brooding, cynical sleuth and a unicorn. I think this guy could be a good protagonist in a noir-fantasy comicbook… like Hellboy or Constanine. He looks really pissed that he has a silvery horn and tail.

And finally, another bunch of character faces to expand my drawing vocabulary. The cowboy at the bottom right corner was based on Jeff Bridges’ character on True Grit. I LOVE WESTERNS.
