“Maligayang Pasko!” is Filipino/Tagalog for “Merry Christmas!” I quickly drew this one on the iPad using the Paper app. It depicts the Filipino tradition of caroling where children visit houses in the neighborhood singing Christmas songs usually accompanied by simple, homemade musical instruments like tambourines with bottle caps and drums made from cans. To thank them for spreading the Christmas cheer, adults give them coins or candies.
And since these were drawn using the same style, I’m adding this drawing of my sister’s cat, too. Merry Christmas and a happy new year, everyone! π
Hello, I find your drawing of children doing christmas carol very amazing! It really depicts the Christmas in the Philippines. Anyway, I’m just wondering if I could use your drawing as my guide. I have a homework to do in school and that is to draw something about the essence of Christmas in a plain paper bag. The paper bag then, of course with presents in it, will be given to children in a public elementary school. I am sure that the kids will be delighted to see that drawing of yours. So I am asking your permission if you’re willing to permit me from copying it. I have seen your other works and I must say those are all very stunning. That is all anyway. I am hoping for your response. Thank you π

Sorry for my very late reply to your request, Nathaniel. Sure, please use my drawing for the purpose you stated (if you haven’t already)! That’s a very nice project. Good luck! π

Hi! Hoping you still look at these posts. I was also wondering if I could use your image for a small volunteer campaign for our Church here in California. We do an annual Filipino style caroling for our new Catholic community and I need to run some advertising on social media and e-mail to see if people want to join our choir. Thank you! It’s a really nice image, by the way!

Open Door is a monthly event of our community Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon that is open to everyone. It starts with a Holy Mass followed by an inspirational episode right after. We make an event pubmat as an invite and we put an image that is appropriate to our theme. Our theme for December is about Christmas, namamasko… and we find your art perfect for that. Hoping for your kind approval. Thank you!
